Code signing policy

Only the Windows installer is signed, and only when it was built by this project’s GitHub Actions workflow from the source code in the repository. Nothing is built or signed on a personal computer.
Team roles. Authors, reviewers and approvers: Dommarsantiago. Everyone with commit or approval rights uses multi-factor authentication.
To check a download, right-click the installer → Properties → Digital Signatures, or compare it with SHA256SUMS.txt. Report a problem or suspected misuse through the issue tracker.
Privacy
ScoreRelay-RX has no accounts, telemetry or analytics and collects no personal data. It does not transfer information to other networked systems except as you set it up:
- Update check. When the app opens, and when you press “check for updates”, it asks GitHub whether a newer release exists. Nothing about you or your devices is sent beyond the request itself (which reveals your IP address to GitHub, like any web request).
- Cloud mode. Only if you choose it and enter your access token, the app connects to the ScoreRelay cloud service to receive your device’s live data, and sends your token to authenticate.
- Local, USB and Bluetooth modes. The app talks to your own device. When a connected device is set up for it, the app passes that device’s own cloud connection through your computer without reading or storing it.
- Stored on your computer. Your settings and access token are saved in the app’s per-user folder, and scoreboard data is written to the folder you choose. None of it is uploaded.
